If you are interested in the work of the Museum, its programs, interpretive exhibits, service to educators and the preservation of the heritage of this area and wish to support it financially, we appreciate donations at any level.
The operation of the Swannanoa Valley Museum depends on the generosity of the community, both locally and regionally, in the form of memberships, volunteerism, in-kind gifts, and cash donations. The Swannanoa Valley Museum is a 501c3 non-profit, and donations are tax-deductible.
Monthly Donations
Patrons of the Swannanoa Valley Museum is a monthly donor program that provides a steady stream of revenue to support the operation of the museum, host and mount exhibits, create programming, host events, and provide historical reasearch on the history of the Swannanoa Valley.
Monthly donor programs can provide up to 20% more revenue for a non profit than yearly giving. The steady income that monthly donors provide allows
the museum the freedom to budget and plan better lower cost , or free programming and events for you our patrons!!
Memorial Gifts
Anyone wishing to send a memorial gift to the museum in honor of a community member may do so in one of two ways. 1) Use the Donate button above and include a note during the checkout process specifying who the gift is honoring. 2) Send a check to our PO Box- P.O. Box 306, Black Mountain, NC 28711. Please do not send checks to our 223 W. State Street address.
In-Kind Donations
Additionally, most of the office furniture and equipment we use has been donated. We accept donations of anything you think a small business could use – printers, computers, paper, file folders, chairs, tables, etc. \A tax receipt for your in-kind donation is available upon request.
